About The Team
We have a small but mighty content design team at Miro, with just three people across multiple key initiatives. This means we must be flexible, resilient and good at prioritising projects where we can have the biggest impact. We are an integral part of the Design org, shaping the user experience for some of our most impactful initiatives. We operate within a hybrid model, embedding deeply within high-priority cross-functional teams to craft user-centered content that guides and delights our users, and offering light support to lower priority work.
About The Role
We’re looking for a talented Content Designer and AI whizz to join our team and contribute directly to high-impact projects that elevate the Miro experience. This role will sit within our AI Canvas team, specifically working on enhancing our AI Workflow experiences. You will partner with senior leadership across product, design, and engineering, and build the frameworks that help other teams create consistent AI content at scale. You’ll also be a key player in shaping the content design discipline at Miro, collaborating closely with product managers, designers, researchers, and product marketers and delivering content that enhances usability and drives adoption. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our product and be part of growing the maturity of our content design practice.
What You’ll Do
- Work with product, UX, and engineering teams to help shape the product vision and create user-focused content for high-priority AI features and initiatives – ensuring clarity and consistency across the product.
- Design and develop prompts, UI copy and error messages to help our users adopt Sidekicks and Flows and get high quality results when using them.
- Plan, develop and deliver conversational content that guides users effectively, reduces cognitive load, and aligns with Miro’s voice and tone guidelines.
- Contribute to the refinement and application of Miro’s content design guidelines, particularly focused on refining our AI principles and guidance which will ultimately need to live in our design system and MCPs.
- Collaborate with design and UX research to conduct user research, test content hypotheses, and iterate solutions based on data and feedback.
- Participate in design and product reviews, providing clear rationale for your content design decisions.
- Advocate for the value of content design, helping to integrate the discipline into the broader product development process.
On a Typical Day You’ll Be
- Writing and testing system prompts, then debugging the model.
- Defining evaluation criteria with engineering and reviewing AI outputs against quality benchmarks.
- Shaping conversation flows and interaction patterns in design crits and tiger teams.
- Running through edge cases to figure out where the AI breaks and how to recover gracefully.
- Creating conversation starters and prompt suggestions that teach users what’s actually possible.
What You’ll Need
- 6+ years of experience in content design or UX writing, with a strong background in creating content for digital products.
- A strong portfolio showcasing your ability to create clear, user-focused content and demonstrating the impact on user experience and business goals.
- Proven experience working closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, UX design, and engineering, to deliver seamless content solutions.
- Deep understanding of UX writing principles, information architecture, and user-centered design methodologies.
- Familiarity with AI products, conversation design, or prompt engineering (you don’t need to be an engineer, but you should be comfortable getting hands-on with how AI systems behave).
- Ability to align product content strategy with business objectives, balancing user needs with technical feasibility.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate the value of content design and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
- A proactive and flexible approach, comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment and managing multiple priorities.
What’s In It For You
- Competitive equity package.
- Lunch, snacks and drinks provided in the office.
- Wellbeing benefit and WFH equipment allowance.
- Annual learning and development allowance to grow your skills and career.
- Opportunity to work for a globally diverse team.
