We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our globally respected organisation, Mirion Technologies. This position will provide enhanced high-quality on-site service and technical support across North-West England focusing on key customer sites in this area. The work will provide support for our High Temperature and High Radiation Cameras and will involve remote technical support, carrying out customer visits to complete installation, commissioning, calibration, routine testing and repairs. Travel to various sites (UK and occasionally overseas) will be expected to complete other tasks as required. Applicants must be either a British or EU passport holder due to strict security clearance required for this role. As a minimum requirement you must be able to pass HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check, with the potential for undergoing security vetting to SC level.

Responsibilities

  • Installation, commissioning, inspection, calibration, testing and repair of bespoke Camera systems in nuclear and high temp facilities
  • Field Service, Technical Support and troubleshooting to support our customers
  • Liaise at all levels and promote the services of the Company’s Service and Support activities
  • Maintain accurate records where necessary to comply with the requirements of the Company’s QHSE registrations
  • Ability to work unsupervised or as part of either a small team or a multi-disciplinary team
  • Able to deal with and understand technically complex problems

Qualifications And Experience

  • Recognised electrical and/or electronics qualification is required
  • Experience with installation and commissioning of single and multi-camera CCTV systems and associated equipment - training will be provided on our bespoke systems
  • Experience of working on nuclear licensed sites and/or commercial operating plants would be an advantage
  • Experience as a Field Service Engineer within the UK is essential
  • International exposure would be an advantage
  • Essential to be British or EU passport holder as security clearance will be required for this post
  • Good interpersonal skills, with strong verbal and written communication skills in a customer focussed role
  • Strong initiative, motivation and a commitment to delivering high-quality work under pressure
  • Proactive approach, self sufficient with a can-do attitude
