We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our globally respected organisation, Mirion Technologies. Based primarily near key customer sites around the North West of England, this role offers a unique opportunity to work with advanced Radiological Protection Instruments, Non‑Destructive Assay systems and Gamma Spectroscopy equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform field service activities across various customer sites, including installation, calibration, testing, and repair of nuclear‑measurement systems.
- Provide remote and on‑site technical support to customers across the UK and occasionally travel abroad.
- Troubleshoot complex systems and deliver effective solutions independently or as part of a team.
- Maintain accurate documentation in line with QHSE standards.
- Promote the company’s service capabilities and uphold our core values: Integrity, Commitment, Accountability, Respect and Exploration.
- Collaborate closely with UK and international service teams to ensure seamless support delivery.
Skills & Qualifications
- Background in Engineering is essential (or equivalent experience/qualification).
- Experience with radiation an advantage (not essential as full training will be given).
- Knowledge of radiation measurement instruments and/or gamma spectroscopy an advantage (training will be provided if needed).
- Familiarity with working on nuclear licensed sites such as Sellafield, EDF, MAGNOX or Dounreay an advantage.
- Strong initiative, motivation and a commitment to delivering high-quality work under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills with peers and customers.
- Eligibility for UK security clearance (British or EU passport holder).
- High level of English proficiency.
