With store conversions and a refreshed customer experience ahead, our store teams play an important role in delivering everyday value to customers. We’re looking for a Casual Team Leader to support our store teams and step into a leadership role when required.
This role involves leading the store for short periods when a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager is not in-store, while continuing to support day-to-day operations on the shop floor. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to stretch their skills, gain leadership experience and take the next step in a retail career, with training and support provided.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading the store during periods when management is not present
- Supporting and guiding team members to follow store operational and safety processes
- Assisting customers and delivering friendly, helpful service
- Operating registers and handling transactions
- Stocking shelves and maintaining store presentation
- Supporting day-to-day store operations and priorities
What you’ll bring:
- Previous retail experience (preferred)
- A reliable and confident approach to work
- Ability to support and guide others on shift
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move stock up to 16kg and use ladders safely
- Availability to work across weekdays, weekends and peak trade periods based on store requirements
