Our current campaigns are to raise funds to restart a food programme in Rwanda and sustainable solutions for Sudanese refugees; we need urgent assistance.

Qualifications:

  • Writing and editing marketing content for social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram
  • Building strategies to increase social media following and fundraising awareness campaigns
  • Using and setting up tools such as Hootsuite, Social Sprout, Canva, and other graphic tools
  • Creating content calendars to help plan social media activity
  • An interest in the problems and potential of the developing world
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Understanding the needs of our team and asking key questions to clarify requirements
  • Understanding the resource constraints of a small charity and working within these
  • Ability to work flexibly within a remote team of volunteers

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a social media audit and assess the current state of our social media pages and make recommendations to improve our presence and engagement
  • Work with us on the development of new campaigns
  • Provide guidance and strategy on how we can manage our social media on an ongoing basis, e.g., using centralised tools and creating a content calendar identifying easy and free graphic tools and images
  • Produce fresh and engaging content for our social media channels
