This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role suited to someone who loves the craft of recruitment, thrives in high performance, and wants to help shape Mirai’s next phase of growth globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead from the front, managing your own billing desk while coaching and developing consultants around you.
- Build, manage, and scale a high-performing team in the UK or US, depending on growth plans and your strengths.
- Drive new business through face-to-face engagement, networking, client meetings, and community involvement.
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment across the Data & AI markets, ensuring exceptional standards of delivery.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insight, market intelligence, and tailored hiring solutions.
- Support and champion diversity & inclusion initiatives through Mirai’s communities and partnerships.
- Collaborate closely with the leadership team to innovate our service offering and refine our go-to-market approach.
- Embody Mirai’s values, kaizen (continuous improvement), ikigai (purpose), community, and high performance.
What’s in it for you?
- £50–£60k base salary with uncapped commission and a profit share scheme.
- A genuine pathway to build and lead a substantial team, UK or US expansion.
- Ongoing leadership coaching and industry-leading training.
- Huge exposure to cutting-edge Data & AI organisations.
- A collaborative, energising culture driven by passion, purpose, and performance.
- Hybrid working, a Manchester city centre office, private healthcare, birthday off, and generous holiday allowance.
- The chance to leave a legacy, shaping the next generation of talent within the world’s fastest-moving industry.
What we’re looking for
- Proven billing experience within recruitment (ideally Data, Tech, or STEM), with a track record of high performance.
- Experience leading, mentoring, or developing consultants or a genuine ambition to step into leadership.
- Strong business development skills and a consultative mindset.
- A passion for Data & AI and a belief in community-driven recruitment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, people-first, purpose-led environment.
- Positive energy, accountability, ambition and a commitment to continuous improvement.
