We’re working with an established AgriTech startup in a strong period of growth and demand, looking for an experienced Front-End–leaning Developer to support an internal product team and a long-standing contractor engineering squad. This is an immediate Outside IR35 contract, ideal for someone who enjoys coming in, making an impact from day one, and helping level up a product during a busy and exciting phase.
The Role
- You’ll play a key role in the upgrade of an internal portal, with a strong focus on:
- Front-end/UI improvements and user experience enhancements
- Supporting API upgrades and integrations
- Working closely with engineers to deliver clean, scalable solutions quickly
While the bias is firmly towards front end, you’ll also be comfortable dipping into the back end where needed.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and contributing to internal portal UI upgrades
- Improving usability, performance and overall UX
- Building and consuming APIs to support new functionality
- Collaborating with engineers across product and platform
- Delivering pragmatic, production-ready code in a fast-moving environment
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Strong Front-End development experience (with some back-end capability)
- Extensive Python experience, including FastAPI, Flask, NumPy
- Experience working with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL
- Solid understanding of UI/UX principles and portal-based applications
- HTML, CSS and Javascript
- Git and modern version control workflows
Nice to have
- Experience with RasterIO
- Previous work within AgriTech, geospatial or data-heavy product
