Head of Data Governance
Join a growing financial services company at a pivotal stage in its data transformation journey. With cutting-edge technology and substantial investment in place, the focus is now on maximising impact through exceptional people and processes. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape foundational data capabilities with significant ownership and long-term strategic influence.
Remote working with occasional office travel is required. Interviews begin mid-December via a remote process.
Role Overview
As Head of Data Governance, you will lead critical areas such as data quality, governance, maturity, master data management (MDM), and data lineage. Your role will include implementing and embedding Azure Purview while integrating governance practices throughout the organisation. You will work closely with Data Engineering and BI teams to align governance efforts with business goals, ensuring effective controls and risk management essential for the financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework.
Drive the adoption of Azure Purview and embed governance into processes.
Lead data quality improvement initiatives with measurable outcomes.
Ensure governance frameworks include controls to manage risks and maintain compliance.
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
Build and grow the Data Governance team, fostering collaboration and development.
