We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper/Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in accounting and administration to contribute to the smooth financial operations of our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and supporting administrative tasks using Xero software platform. Flexibility and a proactive approach are essential qualities for this position. Experience in Xero software is essential.
We ideally want someone who can join our team and be present on part-time hours. We are open to spreading 20 hours across 4 days or 5. Our core working hours are between 8:30 - 17:00 Monday to Friday, so these hours can fit within this time period. Please submit CV and covering letter to be considered for this role.
Responsibilities- Managing and maintaining financial records using our accounting software Xero.
- Processing accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Reconciling bank statements and ensuring all financial data is up-to-date and correct.
- Assisting with the preparation of financial reports and summaries for management review.
- Supporting administrative duties including filing, data entry, and correspondence organisation.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and organisational policies.
- Collaborating with external accountants or auditors during financial audits or reviews.
- Generating invoices and sending to customers.
- Administration in booking travel and general assistance to directors and workforce.
- Basic housekeeping for paperwork and documentation stored within the business.
- Proven experience working with accounting software Xero.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, including accounts payable and receivable management.
- Previous administrative experience is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
