About Mira
Mira is a San Francisco-based hormonal health company providing integrative care and hormonal testing for over 250,000 customers. In 2023, we were recognized by Inc. 5000 as America's fastest-growing femtech company. Mira’s breakthrough innovation was creating the market’s only FDA-compliant at-home hormone monitor with quantitative testing technology. From the beginning, our mission has been to make hormone data accessible and meaningful — so women can understand their bodies and make confident health decisions at every stage of life, from cycle health and family planning to hormonal imbalances and the menopause transition. We are committed to improving real health outcomes through personalized insights, cutting-edge technology, and science-backed data—turning hormone information into practical guidance for everyday wellbeing.
About The Position
We are looking for a Research Lead (Healthcare) to drive fast, data-driven research that supports product claims and business decisions. This is a leadership-focused role (≈50%) combining research strategy, stakeholder alignment, and project ownership. You will define studies based on marketing and product needs, guide execution, and ensure insights are delivered quickly and effectively. This is not a deep-tech or clinical research role. We prioritize practical, high-impact analysis over complex, long-term modeling. The ideal candidate understands consumer health data, works with speed, and can translate business questions into actionable research.
Requirements
Core Profile- 5+ years in applied research or data science in industry (not purely academic)
- Proven experience leading projects or teams, not just executing analysis
- Background in consumer health, digital health, public health, or behavioral data
- Track record of delivering insights quickly in a business environment
- Strong foundation in statistics and data analysis (Python or R)
- Comfortable working with real-world, messy datasets
- Ability to balance speed vs. rigor and make pragmatic decisions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Lead end-to-end research projects:
- Translate business needs (marketing, product, sales) into research questions
- Design pragmatic, fast-turnaround studies
- Oversee execution and ensure timely delivery of insights
- Act as project owner and research lead, coordinating analysts and external partners
- Conduct and guide data analysis on consumer and health datasets to support product claims
- Develop clear, evidence-based outputs (claims, reports, publications)
- Collaborate cross-functionally and communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders
- Contribute to partnerships (e.g., universities, clinicians) and light research operations (e.g., IRB)
Benefits
What we offer: You will work with a dedicated, highly-engaged, international team of professionals who are passionate about helping couples and individuals start their families. We have a fast-paced and collaborative work environment where we encourage open communication, ownership, and independence. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a performance-based bonus system based on OKR. We provide professional development opportunities - training courses, workshops, and seminars.
Details: The role is remote, with a 40-hour workweek, flexible hours, and occasional overlap with the US team’s/candidates’ time zone.
