The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to multiple locations within designated areas. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle, including lorries or vans, to deliver goods across multiple destinations within specified timeframes.
- Load and unload items, ensuring they are secured correctly during transit.
- Follow planned delivery routes accurately and efficiently, adapting to any route changes as needed.
- Communicate effectively with customers upon delivery, providing excellent service and addressing any queries or concerns.
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as stock organisation and heavy lifting when required.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any mechanical issues promptly for repairs or servicing.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations.
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record; appropriate category licence for the vehicle type (e.g., LGV or HGV licence) is desirable.
- Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading processes.
