The role

Aspens Services is looking for a passionate nutritionist ready to make a tangible impact on school food, sustainability, and student well‑being. As a Nutritionist on our team, you will play a vital role in elevating menu quality, driving sustainability initiatives, and championing customer health across our catering network. This is a dynamic, multi‑faced position where you will do everything from managing intricate medical allergen risks to creating exciting educational resources and delivering inspiring workshops. This position is: 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, £40,000 per annum.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Menu & Safety Management: Supporting the development of school menus tailored for allergies, intolerances, and medical conditions; conducting rigorous allergen‑related risk assessments.
  • Data & Sustainability Analysis: Providing nutritional and CO₂ analysis of menus to drive informed, eco‑conscious decision‑making.
  • Education & Engagement: Creating and delivering targeted nutrition workshops, educational materials, social media content, and resources to boost Aspens’ nutrition profile.
  • Insights & Communication: Producing detailed, accurate nutrition reports, research case studies, and blogs to communicate our real‑world impact.
  • Cross‑Functional Support: Advising buying and business support teams on product switches and seamlessly handling client queries regarding food, menus, and nutrition.
  • Growth: Attending CPD courses to continuously develop your expertise.

About you

We are looking for an organised, self‑motivated individual who is passionate about nutrition research and national health developments.

The Ideal Candidate Has:

  • A degree in Nutrition from an AfN‑accredited university.
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills, and sharp attention to detail (proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must; an openness to learning new systems is essential).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage professionally with clients, school stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Highly organised and efficient, with the independence to manage a busy diary.
  • You are professional, presentable, and deeply committed to a long‑term career in nutrition.

As one of the UK's fastest‑growing independent businesses, you'll be joining a company where people are at our core. The opportunity to develop your career with us is limitless. We offer fantastic learning and development opportunities and support you in gaining qualifications every step of the way. In addition to a competitive salary, we prioritise your health. We’ve just launched our brand new benefits programme which includes:

  • Enhanced Parental Leave
  • Saving schemes and financial benefits
  • The chance to spend your birthday doing something special for you instead of working!
