About the role

As a Catering Assistant, you will be a vital part of the team, supporting our kitchen in basic food preparation and delivering excellent service during the lunchtime rush.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Interaction: Work on the tills during service (full training provided).
  • Front-Line Service: Provide friendly, polite customer service to all students and staff.
  • Essential Support: Assist the team with basic food preparation.
  • Maintaining Standards: Ensure a safe, clean kitchen environment and meet Health and Safety compliance.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Team player who thrives in a busy environment.
  • Previous catering or fast‑paced service experience.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
  • Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
