We’re excited to be hiring for a newly created role: Senior Director, Sales (SDS) – a pivotal leadership position with the opportunity to lead and manage the entire London sales team. The Senior Director, Sales (SDS) is a senior leadership role responsible for leading, nurturing, and developing high performance across the London sales organisation. This position requires strategic thinking, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving revenue growth through effective sales strategies, team management, and customer relationship management.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Sales Strategy: Define the commercial strategy within the assigned region including resource planning and delivery of departmental OKRs and align into the wider MiQ UK vision. Oversee the development and execution of Agency Growth Plans and client tiering. Oversee the delivery of sales targets, territories and quotas to drive revenue growth and market expansion within the assigned region.
  • Sales Leadership: Provide leadership, direction and role modelling to motivate the London sales team to deliver their best work, delight customers and build the best relationships in market. Nurture a culture of inclusivity, high performance and ambition. Develop direct reports (GADs) and advance their capabilities as future commercial leaders. Set clear goals, expectations, and performance metrics with a regular performance review cadence to drive sales excellence and prioritise for impact. Build accountability across sales organisation for contribution towards Marketing, CoE and Product Marketing initiatives & engagements.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with HC & agency CEOs, and Chief Growth & Strategy Officers. Oversee T1 brand engagements to ensure highest quality of interactions and positive experience. Role model strategic client engagement, annual engagement planning and be a point of influence within Holding Companies and Top Tier Independent agencies.
  • Sales Enablement: Identify capabilities gaps and work with L&D & Product Marketing. Develop to implement sales enablement programs, tools, and resources. Coach all sales managers on sales effectiveness and enhancing productivity. Support across GTM narrative build, reducing complexity and ensuring a customer centric lens on sales positioning.
  • Sales Operations: Responsible for accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management, and territory planning. Oversee the roll-out and adoption of sales processes, systems, and technologies to streamline sales operations and improve efficiency.
  • Revenue & GP Optimization: Continuously analyse sales performance metrics, trends, and customer insights to identify opportunities for revenue optimization and growth. Develop and execute strategies to maximize revenue from existing customers and acquire new business. Maintain oversight of personal growth areas attainment with quarterly reporting back to the business. Analyze sales data and metrics to assess performance, identify areas for improvement.
  • Market Analysis: Consider market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation to identify market trends, opportunities, and threats. Use market intelligence to inform sales strategies and prioritize target accounts and segments.
  • Executive Reporting: Prepare and present sales performance, trends, and insights to inform strategic decision-making and business planning.

WHO YOU ARE:

Someone with 15+ years experience in digital programmatic advertising with minimum 8 years in commercial leadership roles. A track record of success in leading and managing sales teams to achieve revenue targets and business objectives. Strong sales management skills, with experience leading high-performing sales teams in competitive markets. Demonstrated ability to develop sales strategies, drive sales performance, and deliver results. Customer-centric mindset with a focus on understanding customer needs, building relationships, and delivering value-added solutions. Experience managing key customer accounts and driving customer retention and satisfaction. Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies that align with business objectives and market dynamics. Experience in strategic planning, market analysis, and revenue forecasting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate ideas, influence stakeholders, and build consensus across all layers of the organization. Experience in presenting to executive leadership and external stakeholders. Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate sales teams to achieve excellence and drive results. Experience mentoring and developing sales talent at all levels of the organization. Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets. Track record of setting ambitious goals, tracking performance, and adapting strategies to achieve desired outcomes. Collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively cross-functionally and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Experience negotiating and managing strategic partnerships is desirable.
