We’re looking for a Senior Logistics Associate to take end-to-end ownership of UK inbound and outbound logistics across domestic and international networks. This is a senior individual-contributor role with real impact, working closely with the Global Director of Logistics and global teams to drive performance, cost control, and continuous improvement.
What you’ll do:
- Own UK inbound and outbound logistics operations, ensuring service, cost, and compliance targets are met.
- Act as the key interface with freight forwarders, carriers, 3PLs, warehouses, and internal stakeholders.
- Provide strategic oversight of forwarder allocation and shipment planning, balancing cost, capacity, service requirements, and financial impact (storage, demurrage).
- Lead shipment planning, carrier allocation, and operational issue resolution.
- Drive logistics cost optimisation across transport, warehousing, and customs.
- Oversee customs compliance, documentation quality, and audit readiness.
- Anticipate operational and geopolitical risks and contribute to contingency planning.
- Manage container shipments and logistics data in Microsoft Business Central.
- Analyse carrier KPIs, costs, and performance; lead corrective actions and improvements.
- Support rate negotiations, and 3PL/carrier contract discussions.
- Own cycle counts, and physical inventories.
- Lead QBR with logistics partners.
- Contribute to ERP enhancements, system testing, and process standardisation.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Operations, or Supply Chain.
- 10+ years’ experience in logistics (3PL / 4PL environment).
- Strong knowledge of road, air and ocean freight, customs, warehousing, and logistics systems.
- Proven ability to work autonomously in a complex, fast-moving environment.
- Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills.
- Confident stakeholder manager with a proactive, resilient mindset.
