We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst - AI & Agent Traffic Analytics with a strong background in web and marketing analytics to support the analysis and ongoing measurement of AI bot and agent traffic across our ecosystem. This role sits within the BI & Data function and works closely with Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Commercial teams.

This position combines AI traffic discovery with marketing performance analysis, structured experimentation (e.g. A/B testing), and continuous operational measurement. It is suited for a strong mid-level analyst who understands web behavior, referral logic, digital funnels, and experimentation frameworks and is eager to explore this space in depth, and excited to experiment with new AI tools as part of their day-to-day work.

What You'll Do

  • Web & AI Traffic Analysis
    • Analyze AI bot and crawler traffic within the broader context of web traffic, referral sources, and marketing performance.
    • Analyze digital traffic patterns, attribution flows, and user behavior across platforms.
    • Define and track KPIs related to AI-driven traffic, marketing performance and their impact on revenue.
    • Build dashboards and reporting to monitor traffic trends and performance metrics.
    • Perform ongoing validation and experimentation related to traffic behavior, referral patterns, and performance impact.
    • Support marketing and product initiatives through structured analytical frameworks.
    • Compare AI-driven traffic with traditional SEO, paid, and direct referral channels.
    • Contribute to continuous performance measurement across acquisition and content funnels.
    • Model AI and web traffic data in BigQuery to enable scalable analysis.
    • Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Engineering to support data-driven decisions.
    • Translate complex analytical findings into clear insights for business stakeholders.
  • Testing & Marketing Experimentation
    • Perform ongoing validation and experimentation related to traffic behavior, referral patterns, and performance impact.
    • Support marketing and product initiatives through structured analytical frameworks.
    • Compare AI-driven traffic with traditional SEO, paid, and direct referral channels.
    • Contribute to continuous performance measurement across acquisition and content funnels.
  • Data Modeling & Collaboration
    • Model AI and web traffic data in BigQuery to enable scalable analysis.
    • Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Engineering to support data-driven decisions.
    • Translate complex analytical findings into clear insights for business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in data analytics roles focused on web and marketing analytics.
  • Proven experience analyzing web traffic, referral data, attribution models, and digital user behavior.
  • Experience supporting marketing performance analysis and experimentation frameworks.
  • Strong SQL skills, with hands-on experience working with large datasets in BigQuery or similar data warehouses.
  • Experience working with A/B testing and experimentation analysis.
  • Strong understanding of web architecture, including HTTP, user agents, referral logic, cookies, and tracking mechanisms.
  • Experience working with cloud-based data stacks such as GCP or AWS.
  • Hands-on experience using generative AI tools, agents, or AI-driven experimentation workflows.

Advantage

  • Experience in SEO or high-traffic digital publishing environments.
  • Background in ad-supported or performance-driven business models.
  • Solid Python skills for data analysis and automation.
  • Familiarity with APIs or data-access models.
  • Exposure to AI agents, retrieval systems, or indexing/search concepts.

Location & Eligibility

London-based role with hybrid model. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
