Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a Senior Managing Investigator to join our Disputes practice. This is a leadership role at the center of our litigation and adversarial investigative work. You will manage and lead major cases involving legal disputes, arbitration, regulatory inquiries, and sensitive internal investigations. The role requires deep subject matter expertise, the ability to lead high-performing teams, and a strong understanding of fact development in contentious settings. You will work closely with attorneys, case managers, and senior leadership to deliver insights that meet the strategic goals and evidentiary standards of our clients. This is a hands-on role for an experienced professional who thrives in high-pressure environments and can see the big picture while mastering the details.
Lead Complex Investigations & Case Strategy
- Direct and oversee high-profile disputes-related investigations involving litigation, arbitration, internal investigations, and regulatory matters.
- Develop case strategy tailored to disputes contexts, ensuring alignment with legal timelines and client litigation goals.
- Supervise and conduct source interviews, asset traces, public records reviews, and human intelligence development related to fact-finding in disputes.
- Ensure findings are synthesized into strategic, client-ready reports suitable for law firms, general counsel, and arbitration panels.
Process & Methodology Innovation
- Identify and implement tools and techniques relevant to disputes, such as source vetting, chronologies of events, and evidentiary standards.

Client & Case Management

We’re looking for candidates with strong exposure to complex investigations in disputes advisory or litigation support. In addition, we would also be looking for candidates to have experience in people and client management work. - Experience: 6-9 years of experience leading complex investigations within legal, financial, or regulatory environments; prior experience with litigation support or disputes advisory is highly preferred.

- Leadership & Mentorship: Strong experience mentoring case managers and junior investigators, with a focus on fostering professional growth and maintaining a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
- Attention to Detail: Proven track record of delivering high-quality, error-free work, adhering to firm guidelines, and conducting exhaustive reviews.
- Research Expertise & Analytical Thinking: Advanced proficiency in investigative methodologies and key research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER), with a proven ability to synthesize large volumes of information into clear, compelling reports.
- Strategic Thinking & Risk Assessment: Demonstrated ability to develop investigative strategies aligned with client objectives, assess risks, and deliver actionable insights at an executive level.
- Process Improvement & Innovation: A track record of identifying and implementing enhancements to investigative workflows, tools, and methodologies, driving greater efficiency and quality.
- Ethical Standards & Compliance Focus: Deep understanding of investigative ethics, legal frameworks, and regulatory compliance, ensuring the highest standards of professionalism and integrity across all casework.
- Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
