Mint XL is a brand-new 2,500-capacity multi-room venue in the heart of Leeds, with three spaces ranging from 500 to 1,500 capacity.
We're looking for an experienced and well-connected Live Music & Events Programmer to help build and lead the venue's live music and wider events programme.
Mint already has an established team covering electronic and dance music. This role is about bringing something different — developing live music, touring shows and commercially strong ticketed entertainment.
THE ROLE
Working alongside our existing management, marketing, production and operations teams, you'll:
- Book and develop live shows across our 500–1,500 capacity spaces.
- Build strong relationships with artists, agents, managers and promoters.
- Identify emerging and established touring talent.
- Develop opportunities with independent and national promoters.
- Source commercially strong ticketed entertainment and touring concepts.
- Negotiate deals and assess event budgets, ticket potential and commercial viability.
- Help build a diverse and successful year-round calendar for Mint XL.
Beyond traditional live music, we're looking for someone who can identify opportunities across tribute shows, comedy, bingo, live podcasts, competitive social events, immersive experiences, touring entertainment concepts, private events and new event formats.
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for someone with:
- 5+ years' professional experience in live music and/or event booking, programming or promoting.
- A proven track record across genres such as rock, indie, alternative, pop, hip-hop, R&B and contemporary live music.
- Experience booking or programming wider ticketed entertainment and events.
- An established network of UK agents, promoters, managers, producers and event operators.
- Strong knowledge of the UK live music, touring and events market.
- A good commercial understanding of **artist fees, ticket pricing, capacities and event budgets.
- The ability to spot new artists, touring concepts and event formats that could work at Mint XL.
You might currently be a Live Music Booker, Venue Programmer, Talent Buyer, Promoter, Artist Booker or Events Programmer.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who can **bring relationships, opportunities, ideas and new audiences to Mint XL.**

You'll have the freedom to bring your own network, ideas and experience while working alongside an established team.
The position is freelance and flexible, with remuneration to be discussed based on experience and the proposed working arrangement.
