Content Creator – 6 month contract
Mint Velvet began when founders Liz Houghton and Lisa Agar-Rea set out to create an unfailingly chic collection of contemporary, great quality staples and elevated fits that they felt were missing from their wardrobes. Feeling frustrated that they couldn’t find anything they wanted to wear, or the great customer service they craved, they started fusing relaxed comfort with glamorous yet wearable fashion trends. Working as a part of the wider Marketing team, this role is responsible for creating content for our social channels. You will be working closely with the social team to produce best in class content that builds engagement and follower growth, whilst always maintaining the Mint Velvet handwriting.

The Role:
Short Form Video
- Conceptualise and facilitate the production and post-production of engaging short-form videos, with a primary focus on TikTok and Instagram Reels.
- Work closely with social team and Senior Brand Creative Manager to understand messaging and content needs.
- Lead on content creation on Tik-Tok, coming up with ideas and pitching to Senior Brand Creative Manager. Executing the content and editing it.
- Participate in and contribute to creative brainstorming sessions focused on developing messaging and content for key brand initiatives.
- Monitor and report on the latest trends and innovations in social media and content creation to keep our strategy fresh and relevant.
- Responsible for Video Editing – you will edit short form videos with quick turnarounds, ensuring high-quality content is delivered under tight deadlines.
Working at MV Content:
- Responsible for all \”working at MV\” content featuring team MV. Work closely with social team to build out a content calendar that showcases the people behind the brand on a regular basis.
- Collaborate with stores to feature more regularly in content and build out the look and feel for this content working closely with Senior Brand Creative Manager.
Photoshoots:
- Responsible for phone content creation on editorial and e-commerce shoots coming up with concepts and capturing the shoot behind the scenes.
- Support shoot producer on shoot admin on the day, as required.

- Expertise in Social Media: Excellent knowledge of TikTok and Instagram, with a clear understanding of content best practices on both platforms.
- Confidence On-Camera: Be comfortable and confident appearing on-camera when needed to present, showcase products, or engage with followers.
- Collaborative Mindset: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team environment, take creative direction, and integrate feedback effectively.
- Creative Confidence: Confident in pitching new, innovative content ideas that align with the Mint Velvet brand.
- Relevant Experience: Previous experience or passion for creating fashion content, with an eye for visual storytelling and aesthetics.
- Motivation: A drive to reach high standards across all areas of your work.
- Excellent organisation skills: Ability to plan and prioritise your time proactively, working under pressure and to deadlines in a dynamic environment.
