Experienced Quantity Surveyor – Renewables (Contract – Outside IR35) Location: Glasgow, Scotland (Min. 4 Days in the office) Start Date: Immediate Duration: 6-month initial contract (with potential extension) IR35 Status: Outside IR35 Rate: Competitive (DOE) The Opportunity We are seeking an Experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a major renewable energy developer on an immediate contract assignment. Based near Glasgow, you will play a key role in the commercial delivery of a portfolio of solar and battery energy storage (BESS) projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a QS with a background in renewables or large-scale infrastructure projects, looking for a contract that offers both challenge and career-defining experience. Responsibilities * Oversee commercial and contractual activities across multiple collocated solar and BESS projects. * Manage cost control, forecasting, and reporting to ensure financial performance. * Support procurement, contract negotiations, and subcontractor management. * Provide commercial guidance to the project delivery team, ensuring compliance with company standards. * Mitigate risk and maximise value throughout all project phases. Requirements * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior QS within renewable energy or major infrastructure projects. * Strong commercial management, cost control, and contract negotiation skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. * Available to start immediately and operate Outside IR35.
