Role – Mechanical Supervisor
Location – Tilbury, Essex
Mint Selection are seeking a Mechanical Supervisor for a 12-month contract to oversee mechanical work on a Gas Peaking Project. The role involves ensuring high-quality installations, maintaining safety standards, and meeting project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
- Manage and coordinate teams, subcontractors, and resources effectively.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, resolve issues, and uphold safety protocols.
- Review technical designs and provide practical solutions to mechanical challenges.
- Maintain quality control and project documentation.
Qualifications:
- SSSTS/SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid
- 5+ years’ experience in mechanical supervision, must come from a similar background (Energy, Infrastructure, Oil & Gas, Petrochem)
- Strong knowledge of gas turbines, piping, and relevant codes (e.g., ASME, API).
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
This is an initial 12-month contract role, outside IR35, with a strong potential for extension.
