Head of Trading – London – European IPP
Revenue ownership can be the difference between good returns and great returns, and the best in the industry don’t settle for good.
You’ll be joining some of the very best and working at the heart of the next stage of their journey. Over the last 10 years they’ve built a portfolio that is primed to be one of the biggest in Europe, 15+ GW, and monetising it effectively is critical.
This is a senior leadership role, reporting directly to the CEO & board, combining enterprise strategy, physical power trading, asset optimisation, quantitative and technology leadership, organisation design, risk governance and P&L accountability.
They’ve already built a very strong quant team, and now they need an exceptional commercial trading leader who can inherit this division, set the strategy and target operating model, and then lead and scale this critical business unit.
Recently acquired by one of the world’s top infrastructure investors and highly ambitious, there is exceptional financial backing to drive growth, with a view to the next financial event, including meaningful upside for you.
You’ll bring deep knowledge of short-term power markets, a strong track record in asset backed power trading with P&L responsibility, an understanding of algorithmic and automated trading, and the experience of building a function. This is a sleeves rolled up style role, perfect for someone who likes to lead from the front.
All of this translates into an opportunity to take ownership of revenue performance at one of Europe's leading players, along with the impact and financial benefits that come with this.
