This is a fast-track career opportunity for ambitious individuals who want rapid progression, high earning potential, and the chance to work at the forefront of the global energy transition.

Why Mint Selection

We're a specialist talent advisory firm partnering with the companies driving the shift to a low-carbon economy. From scaling high-growth startups to supporting global leaders, our work has real impact, for example, helping build Europe's largest grid-balancing platform from a 3-person startup into a business on track for 500+ employees. Here, your progression is driven by your performance, capability, and ambition, not tenure.

The Opportunity

As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant, you'll join a structured, high-performance training programme designed to accelerate your development. From day one, you'll gain exposure to senior clients, exceptional candidates, and market-leading businesses, while developing highly transferable commercial skills. After your initial training, you'll have the opportunity to specialise in areas aligned to your strengths:

  • Advisory & client partnerships
  • Executive search
  • Research & delivery
  • Contingent or contract recruitment

We don't force a one-size-fits-all model; we develop you into what you do best.

Who We're Looking For

We're targeting high-potential individuals with strong academic backgrounds and clear ambition. Typically:

  • Graduates from leading universities (top 20 or equivalent)
  • 0-12 months experience in sales or other target-driven environments (advantageous, not essential)
  • Commercially minded, highly motivated, and intellectually curious
  • Competitive, resilient, and driven by progression and achievement
  • Attitude, intelligence, and work ethic matter more than background.

Career Growth & Development

This is a true meritocracy with a clear, fast progression path:

  • Structured training, mentoring, and ongoing coaching
  • Transparent promotion criteria and milestones
  • Early responsibility and client exposure
  • Opportunity to progress into specialist, senior, or leadership roles

Compared to traditional graduate routes (e.g. consulting or industry), you'll gain more responsibility, client exposure, and progression in a shorter timeframe.

Earning Potential

We offer a competitive base salary plus uncapped commission, with clear earning progression:

  • Year 1: strong foundational earnings while learning
  • Year 2: c. £50k for solid performers; £100k+ for top performers

Your output directly drives your earnings, giving you full control over your progression.

Work Environment & Culture

We combine high performance with a sustainable, adult working culture:

  • Typical hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00-17:30 (no weekends)
  • Effort vs reward is transparent; higher output = higher earnings
  • Office-first during training for accelerated learning and support
  • Flexibility increases as you develop (remote/hybrid options available)
  • You'll work in a modern London Bridge office with a collaborative team, strong culture, and regular socials.

What We Offer

  • Structured Training Academy and continuous development
  • Uncapped commission and rapid salary progression
  • Private medical cover and benefits package
  • Incentive trips, lunch clubs, and team events
  • Gym contribution and work from anywhere week
  • AI-enabled, forward-thinking recruitment environment

A Transparent Career Choice

Recruitment isn't for everyone; it's performance-driven and requires resilience. But for those who embrace it, the upside is significant. Our founder joined a business at a similar stage and, by 25, had built and led teams, launched new markets internationally, and earned £100k+ annually with equity exposure. That level of opportunity exists here, but it's earned.

Interested?

If you're ambitious, commercially driven, and want a career that combines earning potential, rapid progression, and meaningful impact, we'd love to hear from you.
