Role: Construction Manager – Data Centres

Mint Selection are partnered with a leading organisation delivering hyperscale data centre projects across the UK and Europe and are looking to recruit an experienced Construction Manager to support the delivery of a major new data centre development in London.

We are looking to speak with Construction Managers who have a proven track record of delivering large-scale mission critical or hyperscale data centre projects, with experience managing construction activities through to commissioning, integrated systems testing (IST) and project handover.

  • Scope of Work
  • Lead the safe and successful delivery of a major hyperscale data centre project, ensuring works are completed on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
  • Take responsibility for construction delivery from pre-construction through to commissioning, integrated systems testing (IST) and final handover.
  • Manage multidisciplinary project teams including Project Managers, Site Managers, Engineers, Package Managers, Commissioning Managers and specialist subcontractors.
  • Coordinate the successful delivery of CSA, Mechanical and Electrical packages across the project.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee construction planning, programme management, quality assurance, risk management and change control.
  • Ensure all works are delivered in line with HSEQ requirements, contractual obligations and industry best practice.
  • Chair project progress meetings, providing regular updates on programme, commercial performance, construction progress and key project milestones.
  • Identify and resolve technical, construction and programme challenges to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Work closely with commissioning teams to achieve a safe and efficient transition through commissioning, IST and client handover.

Experience to be Considered

  • Proven experience delivering hyperscale or mission critical data centre projects as a Construction Manager.
  • Previous experience working for a Tier 1 contractor or specialist data centre contractor is essential.
  • Strong understanding of CSA, Mechanical and Electrical installation, commissioning and integrated systems testing.
  • Experience managing large multidisciplinary construction teams, subcontractors, project programmes and budgets.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships across clients, consultants and delivery teams.
  • A proactive, delivery-focused approach with the ability to manage complex, fast-paced construction projects.

This is a long-term contract opportunity and falls Outside IR35.
