As part of its next phase of growth, the business is seeking a Head of Commercial to lead revenue strategy and optimisation across its UK portfolio. This is a senior, hands-on role with responsibility for maximising asset revenues across wholesale power markets, the Capacity Market, ancillary services, and structured offtake arrangements, while helping to shape the evolution of the organisation's trading and commercial capabilities. The role sits at the intersection of power markets, trading, asset optimisation, and commercial strategy, and will be critical to delivering value as the platform continues to scale.
Key Responsibilities

Maximise value across wholesale markets, ancillary services and capacity revenues, ensuring optimal market participation. Oversee commercial performance monitoring and analysis across the portfolio.
- UK Power Markets & Capacity Market: Lead the organisation's approach to Capacity Market auctions, including qualification strategy, bidding, delivery risk management and contract compliance. Maintain a deep understanding of UK power market fundamentals, policy developments and regulatory change, translating these into commercial strategy. Evaluate new market opportunities as market design evolves.
- PPAs & Structured Commercial Arrangements: Lead or support the structuring, negotiation and execution of PPAs, tolling agreements and other offtake arrangements. Work closely with legal, finance and external counterparties to ensure robust commercial outcomes. Assess merchant versus contracted strategies across technologies and asset classes.
- Trading & Market Interface: Act as a senior commercial counterpart to internal trading teams and external trading partners. Support the development and scaling of the organisation's trading capability, including strategy, governance and performance review. Oversee trading performance analysis and continuous improvement.
- Commercial Analysis & Investment Support: Provide commercial input into investment decisions, development prioritisation and capital allocation. Lead scenario analysis, revenue forecasting and stress-testing across different market and regulatory outcomes. Support fundraising, lender and investor discussions from a commercial and revenue perspective.
- Leadership & Team Development: Build, lead and mentor a high-calibre commercial team as the platform scales. Set clear standards around analytical rigour, decision-making and accountability. Act as a senior internal voice on market and revenue matters.
