We are seeking an experienced Electrician to support electrical installation, testing, and commissioning activities on an industrial project in Essex. The role involves hands-on work with power generation equipment, control systems, and completion documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical installation, testing, and commissioning of LV/HV systems.
  • Support completion processes including ITRs, A & B Sheets, FATs/SATs, and test packs.
  • Install, inspect, and commission control/PLC panels, switchgear, VSD/VFDs, pumps, fans, and associated equipment.
  • Assist with generator/alternator setup, synchronisation, and power generation systems.
  • Work with the Completion Management System (CMS – Gotechnology preferred).
  • Identify, report, and support close-out of defects and outstanding work items.
  • Maintain safe working practices and compliance with site standards and procedures.

Skills & Experience

  • Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship, 18th Edition, or equivalent).
  • Experience in commissioning or power generation environments (gas peaker, energy, utilities, industrial, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of LV/HV systems, switchgear, PLC/control panels, and rotating equipment (generators/alternators).
  • Experience with VSD/VFDs, pumps, motors, and electrical balance-of-plant equipment.
  • Ability to read and work from drawings, schematics, and test documentation.
  • Competent with completion documentation and digital CMS tools.
