Salary: Competitive day rate depending on experience
Contract length: 12 to 18 month contracts
Mint Selection is speaking with experienced Electrical Site Engineers ahead of upcoming contract requirements on solar PV, BESS and substation projects. The role sits on site between design and commissioning, checking that what is installed matches what was specified.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee HV and LV electrical installation on site, including cabling, substations and inverters, checking work against design and specification
- Carry out inspection and testing, and coordinate pre-commissioning activity
- Resolve site queries with design teams and maintain as-built and redline records
- Support commissioning and energisation, closing snags before handover
Experience & Qualifications:
- Previous site engineering experience on solar PV, BESS, substation or power infrastructure projects
- Understanding of electrical installation, testing and inspection procedures
- Familiarity with HV equipment, protection systems and SCADA preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
- Relevant engineering qualification or electrical apprenticeship advantageous
