Mint Selection are partnered with a leading renewables IPP that are seeking an Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Engineer specialised in Integrated Control & Safety Systems (ICSS). This appointment will join our client's Engineering team, responsible for the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of site communications networks and control systems for a portfolio of existing and new battery storage and gas peaking assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support design, implementation, and maintenance of SCADA, PLC, and SIS systems.
- Develop and refine scalable control system architectures for new projects.
- Review and verify P&IDs for engineering compliance.
- Integrate and optimize control solutions for ongoing projects.
- Specify control systems, including site communications networks.
Project Execution & Integration:
- Collaborate on engineering control solutions across project teams.
- Ensure I&C integration for mechanical packages.
- Manage SCADA development and contractor coordination.
- Oversee signal lists, data flow, and network architecture.
- Lead upgrades of legacy control systems per project requirements.
- Coordinate SCADA commissioning and multi-contractor integration.
- Manage system interfaces and ensure contractor quality control.
- Facilitate SCADA design coordination and lead inter-contractor design meetings.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in instrumentation and/or control systems engineering.
- Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of design and construction of power and energy projects.
