Section Engineer – Major Infrastructure Project

Mint Selection is currently recruiting for an experienced Section Engineer to support the delivery of a major UK infrastructure project with a leading Tier 1 contractor.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong background in civil engineering and construction delivery to take ownership of a defined section of works, ensuring activities are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate engineering activities across an allocated section of the project.
- Oversee setting out, surveying and technical delivery of construction workss
- Supervise Site Engineers and coordinate subcontractor activities.
- Review drawings, specifications, method statements and inspection and test plans.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
- Monitor progress against programme milestones and resolve technical issues.
- Liaise with site management, designers and subcontractors to ensure successful delivery.
- Maintain accurate engineering records, quality documentation and progress reports.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Section Engineer or experienced Site Engineer on major construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering and construction methodologies.
- Experience managing engineering teams and subcontractors.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong understanding of setting out, quality assurance and site safety.
- Relevant civil engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience.
- CSCS certification; SMSTS or SSSTS desirable.
