Location – Reading
Mint Selection are supporting a leading energy infrastructure contractor who are seeking an experienced Commissioning Lead Engineer / Commissioning Engineer on a contract basis to support the delivery of a major energy infrastructure project. This is a key role responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering electrical commissioning activities, ensuring systems are commissioned safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications and programme requirements.
Scope of Work
- Lead and support electrical commissioning activities across the project
- Develop and execute commissioning plans, procedures and test documentation
- Coordinate commissioning activities with construction, engineering and client teams
- Support system testing, energisation and final handover activities
- Manage commissioning records, punch lists and completion documentation
- Identify and resolve technical issues during commissioning and start-up
- Ensure all commissioning activities are carried out safely and in accordance with project procedures
Experience to be Considered
- Proven experience as a Commissioning Lead Engineer or Commissioning Engineer
- Strong background delivering commissioning activities on power, transmission, renewable energy or major infrastructure projects
- Experience with electrical testing, system energisation and handover
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and interface with clients and contractors
- Strong understanding of commissioning processes, safety procedures and project documentation
Certifications & Requirements
- Relevant electrical qualification (HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent)
- Experience commissioning HV/LV electrical systems
- Previous renewable energy, transmission, substation or power generation experience desirable
- Full UK driving licence
