We're supporting a UK-based client delivering major HVDC substation projects and are looking for an experienced CDAE-certified Design Engineer to join on a long-term contract. This is a high-profile role offering flexibility, autonomy, and involvement in complex power transmission projects.

The Role

  • Act as a CDAE-approved Design Engineer supporting HVDC substation projects
  • Provide technical input, review, and assurance across design activities
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders and the wider engineering team
  • Attend occasional client and project meetings as required

Essential Skills & Experience

  • CDAE-certified
  • Strong HVDC and substation experience
  • Proven experience in power transmission / utilities projects
  • Comfortable operating in a senior technical capacity

  • Start: ASAP
  • Duration: 18 months
  • IR35: Outside
  • Rate: Negotiable DOE
  • Location: Largely remote, with occasional client/office attendance
