£65,000 - £85,000 per annum base, plus bonus and benefits
Our Clients
We work with established UK renewable energy developers and asset owners, including institutionally backed platforms that develop, finance, build and operate their own projects. In these businesses an experienced wind developer gets real ownership and a direct line to decision-makers. You would help shape how a wind portfolio is built, rather than being one of many in a large wind department.
Key Responsibilities
- Own a portfolio of onshore wind projects and progress them through planning and consent towards ready-to-build.
- Manage planning applications and EIA, coordinating environmental and technical consultants, programme and budget.
- Negotiate land agreements and manage landowner relationships alongside internal acquisition teams.
- Engage communities, planning authorities and statutory consultees, and help set the business's approach to wind.
Experience & Qualifications
- Onshore wind development experience is essential. Applications based on solar or BESS experience alone will not be considered.
- Hands-on involvement in taking UK onshore wind projects through planning, with consent achieved a strong advantage.
- Experience negotiating land agreements and working directly with landowners.
- Confidence managing consultants, budgets and development risk with a good degree of autonomy.
- Origination and grid connection knowledge are useful but not essential.
- Discretionary annual bonus.
