A private-equity-backed renewable energy developer and asset owner is looking for a HSE Advisor to support a growing UK and Ireland portfolio of wind, solar, and battery energy storage projects. The business operates across the full project lifecycle, from acquisition of ready-to-build assets through construction and long-term operations. As construction activity increases, there is a need to strengthen internal health, safety, and environmental governance while modernising existing systems and processes.
Reporting into the current HSE Manager, you will act as the central point of coordination for all HSE activity across 25 operational and construction sites. While day-to-day site safety is managed by trained Site Managers, you will provide oversight, assurance, reporting, and continuous improvement of the company’s HSE management system. This role is primarily home-based, with minimal travel of monthly visits to their offices in Manchester.
Responsibilities:- Ownership and coordination of the internal HSE management system (ISO-accredited).
- Reviewing RAMS, method statements, and safety documentation.
- Incident investigation, reporting, and trend analysis.
- Collation and reporting of HSE statistics across all projects.
- Supporting audits, accreditations, and IOSH-aligned processes.
- NEBOSH-qualified (or equivalent) with practical HSE experience.
- Strong working knowledge of HSE systems, audits, and compliance.
- Comfortable reviewing RAMS and managing incident investigations.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and modern digital reporting tools.
- Experience in renewables (wind, solar, BESS) is advantageous but not essential.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious HSE professional to take ownership of a growing renewables portfolio and build a long-term career within a forward-thinking energy business.
