A leading UK energy developer is seeking an experienced Grid Code Compliance Engineer to support the delivery of a 400MW Battery Energy Storage System project. You'll be responsible for ensuring Grid Code compliance throughout the design, modelling, commissioning, and operational phases, working closely with project teams and NESO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Grid Code compliance studies (voltage, reactive power, frequency response, FRT)
  • Develop and validate RMS and EMT models
  • Support transmission-level system studies and technical assessments
  • Liaise with NESO on technical approvals and compliance
  • Oversee commissioning and Grid Code witness testing
  • Investigate compliance issues and ensure adherence to UK Grid Code requirements

Requirements:

  • Strong Grid Code compliance experience
  • Expertise in RMS/EMT modelling and power system studies
  • Familiarity with NESO processes
  • Experience with HV power systems, commissioning, and grid-connected assets (BESS and/or generation desirable)
