We’re supporting a UK-based client delivering major HVDC substation projects and are looking for an experienced CDAE-certified Design Engineer to join on a long-term contract. This is a high-profile role offering flexibility, autonomy, and involvement in complex power transmission projects.
The Role
- Act as a CDAE-approved Design Engineer supporting HVDC substation projects
- Provide technical input, review, and assurance across design activities
- Collaborate with project stakeholders and the wider engineering team
- Attend occasional client and project meetings as required
Essential Skills & Experience
- CDAE-certified
- Strong HVDC and substation experience
- Proven experience in power transmission / utilities projects
- Comfortable operating in a senior technical capacity
Contract Details
- Start: ASAP
- Duration: 18 months
- IR35: Outside
- Rate: Negotiable DOE
- Location: Largely remote, with occasional client/office attendance
