We are seeking a suitably experienced Contracts Manager to lead contract governance, procurement strategy and supplier management across a diverse portfolio of renewable energy projects. Working closely with senior leadership and technical teams, you will play a critical role in ensuring value, quality, compliance, and strategic risk management across all contract and procurement activities.
Responsibilities
- Contract Governance & Administration
- Establish and manage a structured framework for project-related contracts.
- Maintain central contract registers, reporting systems, and audit‑ready documentation.
- Monitor fulfilment of obligations, milestones, and key deliverables.
- Compliance & Risk Management
- Collaborate with engineering, construction and project delivery teams to ensure regulatory and technical compliance.
- Identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risks including delays, cost deviations and non‑conformance.
- Oversee contract handovers, communication forums and documentation of warranties, insurance certificates, bonds and guarantees.
- Manage variations, extensions of time and claims in line with contractual requirements.
- Coordinate with finance, business development and delivery teams to assess commercial implications.
- Performance Monitoring
- Track contractor and supplier KPI performance across cost, schedule, quality and compliance.
- Produce dashboards and reports for senior management.
- Capture lessons learned to improve contracting strategies.
- Enhance internal procedures for contract administration, governance and compliance.
- Promote organisational awareness of contracting best practice.
- Procurement Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain procurement strategy, policies and governance frameworks.
- Conduct supplier risk assessments, including ESG and modern‑slavery considerations.
- Manage tender processes from bid documentation and evaluation through to negotiation and award.
- Oversee supplier onboarding, performance reviews, audits and long-term relationship management.
- Prepare procurement performance reports and participate in relevant governance committees.
- Stay informed on renewable energy technology trends and supply chain innovations.
Qualifications
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills.
- Experience managing multi‑contract procurement within the renewable energy sector.
- Exceptional organisational awareness with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.

Pay range and compensation package
- Salary up to £80,000 (depending on experience)
