Our client, a renowned Independent Power Producer (IPP), is seeking a Senior Project Planner to support the successful delivery of cutting-edge Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across the UK. This role is instrumental in ensuring seamless project execution from inception through to completion, contributing directly to the clean energy transition. Plan and monitor full project lifecycles, reporting progress to senior leadership and project managers. Coordinate schedules, costs, and resource models, including developing “what-if” scenarios to mitigate project risks. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to align timelines and validate contractor schedules. Support progress reporting, baseline schedule development, and risk management processes. Contribute to lessons learned documentation and project closeout activities. 10 or more years of proven experience in project planning within Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) projects. ~ Strong expertise in schedule coordination, cost forecasting, and earned value management. ~ Solid understanding of SIMOPS, contractor schedule validation, and risk analysis. ~ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. ~ Proactive mindset with a strong focus on delivering high-impact renewable energy projects.
