Your Responsibilities

As a Kitchen Porter, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Washing cutlery, crockery, glassware, and kitchen utensils using industrial dishwashers.
  • Cleaning pots, pans, and larger kitchen equipment by hand or using commercial washing equipment.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout all kitchen and food preparation areas.
  • Assisting chefs by ensuring clean equipment is always available during busy service periods.
  • Carrying out cleaning and sanitising procedures before, during, and after service.
  • Removing waste and recycling in line with health and safety procedures.
  • Keeping floors, work surfaces, storage areas, and kitchen equipment clean and hazard-free.
  • Supporting the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during high-volume events.
  • Following all food hygiene, health & safety, and company procedures at all times.
