Senior Conference & Events Sales Coordinator
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £31,000 per annum + bonus incentives
The Role:
- Manage high-value, high-profile conference and event enquiries from initial enquiry through to delivery
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive repeat and rollover business
- Support the day-to-day operations of the Conference & Events Sales Office
- Oversee the commercial diary to maximise revenue and occupancy across meetings and events space
- Conduct professional client show rounds to secure new business
- Produce detailed event documentation and ensure all departments are fully briefed
- Lead on pre-event communication for key bookings
- Support, coach and develop junior team members within the department
- Negotiate effectively with clients to secure commercially viable business
The Candidate:
- Experience within Conference & Events, hotel sales or a similar commercial role
- Strong organisational and planning skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels
- Commercially aware with the ability to drive revenue and conversion
- Comfortable working to targets and within a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to support and develop a team
