We are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join an engineering team based in Maidstone, Kent. The role involves carrying out mechanical installation, maintenance, and repair work across industrial manufacturing sites and water treatment facilities throughout the South East.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out mechanical installation, maintenance, and repair work on industrial plant and equipment.
- Work on pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, valves, pipework, and associated mechanical systems.
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance activities.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
- Assist with equipment installations, shutdowns, and project work.
- Work safely in accordance with company procedures and site safety requirements.
- Complete maintenance documentation and reports.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Fitter, or Industrial Mechanical Engineer.
- Experience within manufacturing, industrial, process, or water industry environments.
- Knowledge of pumps, valves, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, and rotating equipment.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and work independently.
