Lead the development of new programmes and community pathways, including:

Managing and inspiring people

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of dedicated support professionals.
  • Oversee recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisals, and ongoing professional development.
  • Create a culture of coaching, continuous learning, recognition, and high performance.
  • Champion inclusion, diversity, wellbeing, and psychological safety within the team.

Operational and financial leadership

  • Manage service budgets and maintain strong financial controls.
  • Take ownership of operational performance, resource planning, and workforce deployment.
  • Monitor and report on service performance, budgets, and P&L activity to ensure long-term sustainability.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, GDPR, health and safety, and organisational policies.
  • Build positive relationships with local authorities, healthcare professionals, social workers, families, carers, and community organisations.
  • Represent Minstead Trust at external forums, meetings, and networking events.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Trust to share best practice and support strategic objectives.

About you

We’re looking for an experienced manager who combines commercial awareness with a genuine commitment to person-centred support.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous leadership experience, including managing and developing staff teams.
  • Strong operational, budgetary, and performance management skills.
  • Experience working with safeguarding, compliance, and quality assurance processes.
  • The ability to build effective relationships with commissioners, families, professionals, and community partners.
  • A passion for innovation, service development, and improving outcomes for people with learning disabilities and autism.
