To support a major programme of software and systems updates, we’re looking for a proactive and motivated Management Accountant to join us on a fixed-term basis. This role is essential in keeping our financial operations running smoothly while our core team focuses on long-term improvements.
Responsibilities
- Preparing monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and leadership commentaries
- Planning and managing the annual budgeting cycle
- Producing regular cash flow forecasts to ensure financial stability
- Conducting variance analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve performance
- Supporting year-end audit preparations
- Partnering with department managers to help interpret financial data and advise on project implications
- Maintaining internal financial policies, systems, and risk management processes
Qualifications
- You’ll be a qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or CPA) with:
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Proficiency in Excel and financial software
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial managers
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach
