Administration Officer

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday

Location: Minstead (near Lyndhurst, New Forest)

Salary: £24,862 per annum

Are you a confident administrator looking for a role that makes use of your office wizardry and plate-spinning talents?

About the role

As the first point of contact to our beautiful Lodge in the New Forest, you will play a pivotal role, ensuring external customers receive exceptional service, whether that be answering questions, directing their enquiries, responding to written correspondence or assisting with information about the Trust or events. This goes hand in hand with the first-class administration service you’ll provide to internal customers. At the hub of all we do, this role is incredibly varied and vital to the smooth running of our organisation.

The role includes:

  • Providing and welcoming reception to all callers and visitors to Minstead Lodge
  • Booking appointments
  • Overseeing staff rotas, and reporting sickness absences for support team
  • Producing correspondence, reports and other documents as required by the Senior Leadership Team and Heads of Services
  • Keeping accurate records and a central filing system
  • Maintaining office and equipment supplies
  • Keeping our people and records safe by adhering to GDPR
  • Being part of our community, celebrating success and finding enjoyment in your work.

About you

What we’re looking for:

  • Excellent people skills – you really need to enjoy meeting and working with people from different backgrounds
  • Warm and professional telephone and face-to-face manner – you’ll be able to make people feel valued
  • Excellent working knowledge of computing/digital skills including Microsoft 365 Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel – and the ability to be patient with those who aren’t so savvy
  • Excellent organisational skills – cat herding experience desirable but not essential
  • Good Team Worker – you’ll be working with a Good Team.
