Be part of something real. At SDL, you won’t be lost in a big corporate machine - you’ll join a friendly, supportive, family-run business where people look out for each other. We’ve built our reputation over 47 years by treating customers well and taking care of our teams. When you join us, you become part of that family ethos from day one.

What you’ll be doing:

This is a hands-on role at the heart of our branch. You’ll be managing a thriving distribution team, offering a high level of customer service and ensuring that profit and growth of the branch is at the forefront of the business. If you enjoy all things operations, helping develop people, solving problems, and being part of a busy, focused team - you’ll feel right at home here.

Who we’re looking for:

  • You don’t need motor factor experience - we’ll train you.
  • Warehouse management experience is highly advantageous for this role though!
  • Maintains accurate stock levels and controls through real-time stock-taking monitoring processes and monthly adjustment checks.
  • Prepares reports and advises management on strategies to reduce cost, improve procedures and maximise efficiency.
  • Ensures replenishment levels are achieved daily and branch orders are picked in full within the given SLA’s.
  • Manages racking through planning and supporting the Stock Coordinators in their role.
  • Uses data analysis to plan effectively for inbound stock orders from containers.
  • Ensures that the warehouse team follows relevant health and safety regulations and guidelines as set down in company policies.
  • Stays calm under pressure.
  • Brings a positive, reliable, team-first attitude.
  • Experience with MAM or similar software is helpful, but not essential.

We promote people based on attitude and performance, not how long they’ve been here. For example: Jordan joined with no experience and is now a Branch Supervisor. Hannah moved from retail and is now a Senior Sales Advisor. Your progression is genuinely in your hands.

What we offer:

  • Alongside a competitive salary, you’ll receive discounts on retail, gyms, travel, entertainment and more.
  • Company-branded uniform.
  • 24/7 employee advice line & GP phone access.
  • Death in Service cover.
  • Extra holidays for long service.
  • And above all - a stable role in a friendly, growing business that values what you do.
