Our signature Barista Oat range can be found on the bar at over 10,000 independent coffee shops around the world and our full lineup of products can be found in thousands of stores across 4 continents. Minor Figures has been B Corp Certified since 2022. We have big plans for the future of MF. As we continue to grow at a rapid pace, we want to welcome curious, free-spirited, bold thinkers to help us continue to create and evolve. We value individuality and a team made up of people who bring a diverse range of experiences and perspectives to the table. If you share our love for the unexpected and you want every day you spend at work to be a chance to flex your creativity and test-drive your maddest ideas, we’d love to hear from you.
The Motion Designer is a key part of our global Creative team, helping bring the Minor Figures brand to life through animation, digital design and expressive storytelling. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on motion as a core craft, while also contributing to wider brand outputs across digital and print. You’ll work closely with our Senior digital designer and wider team to create bold, distinctive work that builds brand awareness, engagement and love. We’re looking for someone who is excited by motion as a storytelling tool – someone who enjoys experimenting, developing their craft, and pushing how a brand shows up through animation. You’ll play an important role in evolving our motion language and contributing to a highly creative, fast-moving environment.
As a Motion Designer, we’d love to see your creative influence shine through in the following ways:
- Design and deliver high-quality motion work across social, campaigns, web and brand touchpoints
- Bring our illustrative brand to life through animation, developing engaging and expressive motion outputs
- Work from concept through to execution across a range of creative projects, spanning motion, digital and print
- Collaborate closely with the creative team to develop bold, unexpected ideas and bring them to life
- Support the development of our motion language, systems and reusable assets to ensure consistency and efficiency
- Apply strong design fundamentals — including typography, layout and composition — across both motion and static work
- Stay curious and engaged with culture, design and motion trends, bringing fresh thinking into the team
- Take ownership of your projects, managing your time effectively across multiple briefs in a fast-paced environment
Within our Creative team, you’ll report to Holly Bennett, our Senior Digital Designer, and work alongside a small team of designers, a creative project manager and a copywriter. We’re a collaborative, fast-moving team focused on producing high-quality work across brand, campaign and digital channels. You’ll also work closely with colleagues across the UK, US and Australia, who bring different perspectives and experiences to the team. Minor Figures is full of people who care deeply about the brand, so the Creative team sits at the centre of that energy — shaping how the brand shows up across everything we do.
We’d love to chat with people who have around 3–5 years of experience working in an in-house or agency environment, with a portfolio that demonstrates strong motion work alongside solid design fundamentals. You’re a creative thinker with a passion for motion and a strong eye for design. You enjoy bringing ideas to life through animation, and you’re excited to continue developing your craft across motion, digital and brand. You’re comfortable working across both animation and static design, and enjoy collaborating with others to create bold, engaging work. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple projects while staying detail-focused and organised. We’re looking for someone who:
- Has strong motion design skills (After Effects or similar), with a desire to continue developing their craft
- Demonstrates solid design fundamentals, including typography, layout and composition
- Is confident creating assets across digital and print
- Has an interest in illustration and expressive brand design
- Is curious about 3D tools (such as Blender or Cinema 4D) — experience is a bonus, not a requirement
- Pays close attention to detail, consistency and quality in their work
- Enjoys collaborating, sharing ideas and learning from others
- Is open to feedback and motivated to continuously improve
You’ll bring a positive, proactive attitude to the team, balancing confidence in your ideas with flexibility and openness. You enjoy being part of a collaborative studio environment and are excited to contribute to a team that values creativity, experimentation and individuality. Finally, you’ll have solid knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects). Experience with Figma and/or 3D tools is a plus.
We realise that a job is more than just the take home salary each month. So what are you really getting? And, as part of the Minor Figures team, you’ll have the opportunity to invest in the business, with the option to buy shares in the company at an agreed price. Having skin in the game and really contributing to our success. Because it’s you and us all that do make this all happen. But of course, we look after you in the other ways that you’d expect:
- 25 days of annual leave + bank holidays. Up to 5 days annual leave rollover to the following year
- 1 additional day off to protest, volunteer, attend a demonstration
- EquipsMe Health Insurance
- Free membership for you and your family on the ‘Calm’ app
