Job Description WE NEED THE BEST OF THE BEST /n /n Minko’s Macs is hiring four experienced Senior Computer Technicians for our London operation: two full-time and two part-time opportunities. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role for dependable technicians who can manage themselves, protect our reputation and help a busy store perform commercially. /n /n Pay and working pattern /n • £15 per hour starting rate, plus performance bonuses /n • Up to £17 per hour for candidates who can demonstrate successful shop management, excellent verified customer feedback, advanced technical ability and additional commercial skills such as Google Ads, website maintenance or ecommerce /n • Typical shifts are eight hours /n • Full-time and part-time roles available /n • Permanent, temporary and suitable self-employed arrangements may be considered /n • Work across our North, East, South and West London locations; flexibility to travel between branches is essential /n /n Key responsibilities /n • Diagnose, repair, test and quality-check Apple Macs, laptops, desktop computers and related devices to a high standard /n • Manage a repair workload independently, prioritise jobs and meet agreed turnaround times /n • Keep every customer informed of diagnosis, cost, progress, parts requirements and collection dates /n • Obtain clear customer approval before chargeable work and maintain accurate written records /n • Maintain stock lists, repair records, income figures and daily operational sheets using Excel or equivalent tools /n • Identify and source required parts responsibly, control costs and keep devices safely organised /n • Support retail sales, quotations, upselling and other ethical revenue-generating activity /n • Maintain the store, tools, displays and customer areas to a professional standard /n • Protect and strengthen the company’s excellent reputation through honest advice and reliable service /n • Contribute to performance, revenue and customer-review targets /n /n Essential requirements /n • Extensive professional computer-repair experience; around ten years is strongly preferred for this senior role /n • Strong practical knowledge of hardware and software diagnosis, component replacement, operating-system issues and device testing /n • Excellent spoken and written English with the ability to explain technical matters clearly /n • Degree-level education, or exceptionally strong equivalent professional experience and evidence of continuous learning /n • Strong Excel/spreadsheet, stock-control, record-keeping and basic accounting skills /n • Proven customer service, sales and commercial awareness /n • Excellent timekeeping, reliability, organisation and personal accountability /n • A strong professional reputation and references we can verify /n • Ability to work independently without constant supervision and to support colleagues when needed /n • Right to work in the UK /n /n Desirable /n • Previous responsibility for running a successful repair or retail shop /n • Evidence of achieving revenue, productivity and customer-satisfaction targets /n • Advanced board-level or specialist repair capability /n • Google Ads, digital marketing, website, ecommerce or inventory-system experience /n /n Benefits /n • Performance bonuses linked to agreed targets /n • Additional incentives linked to genuine customer feedback and service standards /n • Opportunity to earn up to £17 per hour based on verified skills and results /n • Varied work across established London locations /n • Scope to take ownership and progress with the business /n /n To apply, provide a concise employment history, examples of repairs you can complete independently, details of any shop-management or sales results, your London travel availability and two verifiable professional references.
