Are you passionate about building long-term customer relationships and protecting recurring revenue? We’re looking for a Senior Renewals Specialist to play a pivotal role in driving customer value, retention, and growth across a portfolio of strategic EMEA accounts.
As a senior, revenue-owning contributor, you’ll work closely with Sales and Customer Success to deliver a value-led renewal experience. You’ll take ownership of end-to-end renewals — ensuring contracts renew on time, identifying expansion opportunities, and proactively reducing churn risk — all while acting as a trusted advisor to your customers.
The Impact You’ll Have
- Own and execute high-touch renewals that directly influence Gross Revenue Retention (GRR) and Net Revenue Retention (NRR)
- Build strong, consultative relationships by aligning solutions to customers’ business objectives
- Partner cross-functionally to deliver seamless, successful renewal outcomes
- Protect and expand recurring revenue across your territory
What You’ll Do
- Manage Renewal Portfolios
- Own a defined portfolio of accounts, developing a deep understanding of customer goals, stakeholders, and market dynamics
- Identify renewal risks early (e.g. usage trends, pricing concerns) and proactively drive mitigation plans
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success, Support, Finance, and Product teams to protect contract value
- Engage with champions, end users, and economic buyers to strengthen relationships and influence outcomes
- Clearly articulate value and act as a trusted advisor throughout the customer lifecycle
- Engage customers well ahead of renewal deadlines in line with the Customer Engagement Lifecycle
- Translate usage insights and future requirements into renewal-led growth opportunities, including expansions, pricing adjustments, and migrations
- Independently close renewals while protecting and expanding recurring revenue
- Maintain a structured, audit-ready pipeline with accurate forecasting
- Support wider territory growth through close collaboration with Sales colleagues
- Ensure adherence to company policies related to contracts, cybersecurity, and data protection
- Maintain accurate CRM records for renewals, forecasts, and customer interactions
- Partner internally to resolve billing or accounts receivable issues that could impact the customer experience
- Continuously build expertise in our products, industry trends, and competitive landscape
- Engage in ongoing professional development through coaching, tools, and training
- Work with your manager to develop and execute an Individual Business Plan with clear, measurable objectives
- Demonstrate a growth mindset, resilience, and a strong sense of ownership
- Act as a role model for accountability, collaboration, and results
Who You Are
You thrive in customer-centric environments and are motivated by delivering meaningful outcomes. You’re comfortable balancing retention and expansion goals, adapt quickly to change, and collaborate effectively across teams.
Key strengths we value:
- Strong sense of accountability and ownership
- Results-driven, even in complex or challenging situations
- Proactive, organised, and action-oriented
- Confident communicator who can engage a range of stakeholders
- Resilient and able to maintain momentum under pressure
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years’ experience in renewals, account management, customer success, or quota-carrying customer-facing roles within B2B SaaS or enterprise software
- Proven success owning renewals and delivering strong GRR/NRR, on-time renewals, churn reduction, pricing optimisation, and accurate forecasting
- Strong understanding of subscription-based contracts and value-led commercial negotiations
- Experience managing multi-stakeholder engagements and cross-functional initiatives
- Fluency in German and excellent English communication skills (written and spoken)
