ABOUT US Ministry Venues is a London based venue and events business operating across two distinctive sites: the world-renowned Ministry of Sound nightclub and The Ministry, a contemporary workspace and events venue. Together they offer a wide range of spaces for brand experiences, corporate functions, private hire and weddings.
Our people are just as important as our spaces. We’re a hands-on team who work closely to deliver high-quality events with care, precision and consistency, with creativity at the heart of everything we do. We thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment where attention to detail and high standards are essential. We approach every event, campaign and project with energy and focus, always looking for ways to push boundaries, differentiate our brand, and make our work stand out.
Working at Ministry Venues means being part of a collaborative, creative, and results-driven team, where no two days are the same and every contribution has impact.
Ministry of Sound opened in 1991 in a disused bus garage in a forgotten corner of South London. It was the first nightclub in the UK to have a 24-hour licence, didn’t serve alcohol and featured an earth-shaking sound system in a specially constructed dance box. We went on to become the world’s largest independent record company (now owned by Sony) and stage giant dance events, including one for 50,000 people on Millennium eve at the O2. We were pioneers in electronic music and have a history of taking risks, innovation, and colourful and creative marketing.
Thirty years later we opened The Ministry, a workspace run as a member’s club, in a 50,000 sq. ft Victorian warehouse in SE1. The design is relaxed but functional with a bar, opening windows, an outside courtyard and plenty of space to sit, relax, work and socialise – everything you wouldn’t expect to find in a standard office.
