Ministry of Sound opened in 1991 in a disused bus garage in a forgotten corner of South London. It was the first nightclub in the UK to have a 24-hour licence, didn’t serve alcohol and featured an earth-shaking sound system in a specially constructed dance box. We went on to become the world’s largest independent record company, now with Sony, and stage giant dance events, including one for over 50,000 people at the O2 during the millennium. We were pioneers in electronic music and have a history of taking risks, innovation, and colourful and creative marketing.
Thirty years later we opened The Ministry, a workspace run as a member’s club, in a 50,000 sq. ft Victorian warehouse in SE1. The design is relaxed but functional with a bar, opening windows, an outside courtyard and plenty of space to sit, relax, work and socialise – everything you wouldn’t expect to find in a standard office. There’s great home cooked F&B, a state-of-the-art gym and fitness studio with daily classes, together with a cultural and business events programme.
As a business we don’t take ourselves too seriously, like to laugh and have fun, but we have high standards, a relentless attention to detail and the continuous improvement of our product, and we work hard as a team. We hate cliché, doing things the way others do and continuously seek to differentiate our brands and products almost as a point of pride.
We are looking for a Paid Media Specialist with a sharp focus on channel growth for Snapchat and TikTok, combined with expert-level proficiency in Meta Ads, Google Ads, SEO, and Performance Max (PMax) campaigns. This role will play a critical part in scaling our digital presence, driving ticket sales, channel growth, and brand awareness for our music, brand and nightclub.
You will lead the planning, execution, and optimisation of paid social campaigns across TikTok, Snapchat, Meta (Facebook/Instagram) with a growth-first mindset. You will have experience managing large-scale Meta campaigns with complex audience segmentation, creative testing, conversion tracking and agency management. You will run funnel Google Ads campaigns (Search, YouTube, Display, Discovery), with strong usage of GA4, PSM, Smart Bidding, and Performance Max strategies.
A key part of the role will be to drive growth across organic and paid channels with performance-driven A/B testing and CRO recommendations. You will support SEO efforts by collaborating with Digital Marketing & Social Media Manager to ensure optimised content and site performance. You will be able to analyse campaign performance using Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
You will work collaboratively with the creative and marketing teams to brief high-performing video and ad assets for TikTok and Snapchat. You will stay ahead of trends in social media algorithms, ad formats, and platform innovations in the music and nightlife landscape and forecast media budgets, deliver regular reporting, and ensure campaigns hit KPIs for ROAS, CPM, CPA, and growth targets.
You must have 3+ years’ experience in a Paid Media Specialist role, be from music, entertainment, or nightlife sectors, have proven success running high-budget campaigns on Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, and Snapchat and be an expert in Google Ads, Performance Max, PSM, Google Bidding, and SEO best practices. You will also possess a deep understanding of GA4, audience segmentation, and campaign attribution models and optimisation and have a data driven mindset with strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and reporting capabilities.
A passion for music, nightlife, youth culture, and emerging social trends will be crucial. You will be comfortable in a rapid paced, creative environment where experimentation is encouraged, and have experience working with music artists, club nights, festivals, or music brands. You must hold Google Ads and Meta Blueprint certifications and have a willingness to visit the club nights and work evenings/weekends as required.
