The Ministry of Sound opened in 1991 in a disused bus garage in a forgotten corner of South London. It was the first nightclub in the UK to have a 24-hour licence, didn’t serve alcohol and featured an earth-shaking sound system in a specially constructed dance box. We went on to become the world’s largest independent record company (now with Sony), and stage giant dance events, including one for 50,000 people at the o2 to celebrate the Millennium.
Ministry of Sound Games is taking over the iconic London nightclub for high energy fitness events like no other. Combining 35 years of party heritage with cutting edge workouts, this all-new experience blends explosive group training with a live DJ soundtrack, turning fitness into a full-blown day festival - Same sweat. Same dance floor.
As a business we don’t take ourselves too seriously, like to laugh and have fun, but we have high standards, a relentless attention to detail and the continuous improvement of our product as we work hard as a team. We hate cliché, doing things the way others do and continuously seek to differentiate our brands and products almost as a point of pride.
YOU
As Marketing Manager, you’ll own campaigns and community end-to-end, driving ticket sales and shaping the story behind this new fitness revolution. You’ll deliver the marketing strategy for Games and Fitness events, starting in London and scaling across the UK and beyond. From multi-channel campaigns to CRM flows, you’ll manage timelines, budgets, and KPIs across paid, owned, and earned media. You’ll keep ticket platforms running smoothly, optimise every touchpoint, and ensure our audience feels the buzz from announcement to post-event recap.
Content is king, and you’ll capture it in the moment—workout highlights, behind the scenes energy, and partner activations—editing for reels and TikTok to keep the hype alive. You’ll collaborate with our creative team to tell the story through live-event coverage, recap videos, and athlete features, while owning the social calendar and driving daily engagement. Influencer and ambassador programmes will be in your hands, from sourcing and briefing to tracking performance. You’ll keep the brand sharp and consistent across every campaign, asset, and partnership. That means managing PR agencies, delivering impactful press releases, and collaborating with sponsors and fitness brands on cross-promotions. You’ll also activate grassroots partnerships with gyms, studios, and local businesses to grow the community and roll out new event formats as we expand into new cities.
Data matters too—you’ll track performance, spot trends, and monitor competitors to keep us ahead of the curve. You’ve got experience in event marketing—ideally in fitness, entertainment, or mass participation—and know how to plan, launch, and optimise integrated campaigns. You’re a natural storyteller with sharp copy writing skills, confident managing agencies and creative workflows, and fluent in social media and content creation. You’re analytical, data-driven, and ready to turn insights into action. Bonus points if you know CRM platforms like Klaviyo, paid social strategy, and have a flair for design tools like Adobe or Canva. Above all, you live and breathe fitness, sport, and music culture.
Working hours for this role are predominately Monday to Friday, as specified by rota, however, could include some weekends and travel when necessary.
